Architect Artur Sousa founds Dimscale®.
Our aim: to be a company with differentiated services, looking after the clients ROI as if our own by identifying flaws in the market which we saw were tangling with our customers expenditures.
Having then already two decades of experience in Quantity Surveying, Project Management and deep Construction Solutions, Artur decides to widen his technical expertise by becoming not only a Master in Architecture but also an expert in Financial Management and Cost Engineering.
Soon after, the pioneer Architecture Cost Management® Concept is born.
To talk about Architecture and Construction without ever mentioning Cost overruns is basically impossible. "The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray" and the dynamics of architecture and construction are extremely complex. Over the years Project Management consultants have been integrating Cost Management into their services, in an effort to fill this market flaw with a proper solution.
As a result, DIMSCALE® has developed a pioneer Cost Management model mainly performed by Architects: The Architecture Cost Management® concept. As so happens, we have found that it is relatively easy to train an Architect to become a Cost Manager. however almost impossible to enlighten a financial professional that the key to a Project`s success goes beyond numbers. An Architect sees many other variables that can have consequences on the Project`s functionality, maintenance, quality needs and concept!
Architecture Cost Management® manages the Project at an architectural category level having as main objectives the OPTIMATION AND REDUCTION OF THE CAPITAL INVOLVED plus control of all costs throughout the implementation, development and execution phases, allowing continuous improvement to be made.
Offering high cost savings while keeping focus on safeguarding the architectural concept, combining the science and methodologies of Cost Engineering, Value Management and Cost Benefit Analysis. DIMSCALE® presents its customers with a powerful tool like no other, providing a unique, effective and valuable Cost Management service, to achieve lower costs and enhanced performance whilst keeping the focus on safeguarding the architectural concept and the final quality of the Project.
